**Borneonews - Jakarta** Police are currently investigating the motive behind the tragic death of an 18-year-old student from Tarumanegara University (Untar), initially identified as E. She reportedly jumped from the sixth floor of the building situated in Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta. In his statement, the Head of Grogol Petamburan Police, Kompol Hafiz Gumilang, explained, “To delve into the motive, we will seek testimonies from the university representatives and the victim's friends.” The police intend to gather more information from the university after failing to find any significant leads from the victim's family that could reveal her recent circumstances. Hafiz indicated that, according to the victim's parents, she had not displayed any signs or behaviors that could suggest she was experiencing depression or any other forms of stress. This raised questions regarding the validity of circulating rumors and speculation on social media about the reasons behind her unfortunate decision to leap from the sixth floor on that fateful Friday, October 4. He further noted, “There are numerous theories circulating outside. However, we cannot draw any conclusions based solely on these rumors. Therefore, today our investigative unit will be interviewing both university staff and the victim's friends.” For now, investigators have not discovered any suspicious items among the belongings left behind by the victim. Hafiz mentioned, “We checked her possessions, including her phone, notebooks, and other gadgets, but did not find anything that raised suspicion. We have held discussions with the family and university representatives, and they too have not reported anything unusual.” As part of their investigation, police will also explore the possibility of bullying or harassment that the victim may have faced. “We are keeping all options open, including the potential for bullying. That’s why today we aim to investigate further with both the victim's friends and the university,” Hafiz concluded. **Chronology of Events** The victim was seen within the Untar campus around 09:00 WIB on the day she took her life, Friday, October 4. Hafiz recounted that she attended classes until approximately 10:00 WIB. Following her classes, she went to a café with her friends from 12:30 WIB to 13:00 WIB, after which she sat alone from 13:00 WIB until about 16:30 WIB. Around 17:30 WIB, she moved to the parking area and placed her belongings into her vehicle. Subsequently, at about 18:30 WIB, she headed towards the fourth floor of the parking structure, where she was spotted by security personnel. The security staff approached her, urging her to step back from the edge and refrain from any actions that could jeopardize her safety.
